Top Tier Talent Accessibility

I wanted to share a quick market insight from a LinkedIn poll I ran recently with senior leaders, which was instigated by a conversation I’d had with a candidate that I’ve been representing through a CIO and a CTO process.

The majority (almost 70%) said they’re now asking “Is this role retained?” before deciding whether to engage in a recruitment process.

It’s a small sample, however all respondents were senior decision-makers. The sentiment reflects a wider trend: high-calibre candidates are becoming more selective about how and where they invest their time.

For employers, that means the accessibility of top performers could tighten further, especially where the recruitment process feels transactional or poorly managed.
